Better, together

Better, together

Better, together

Client

Syna

Project type

Brand identity & visual system

Duration

10 weeks

An identity built around connection. A paired geometric symbol, electric violet and expressive human imagery bring Syna’s collaborative spirit to life across digital and printed applications.

Make connection the starting point

Syna is a concept brand built around collaboration: independent people bringing their perspectives together to create something shared. The brief was to express that idea through a distinctive identity that feels confident in both digital and physical settings.

“Better, together.” provides the central message. The identity gives that message a visual form through a paired symbol, an understated wordmark and imagery of hands reaching towards one another.

Turn a shared idea into a symbol

The symbol is formed by two opposing geometric shapes. Their relationship creates a recognisable central space, making connection visible through the way the parts come together. It works as a compact signature and as a larger graphic element.

The lowercase wordmark adds a quieter, approachable counterpoint. Used together, the wordmark and symbol establish the brand; used independently, they give the system flexibility across different sizes and formats.

  • Keep enough clear space around the symbol to preserve its shape.

  • Use the wordmark for a direct introduction to the brand.

  • Let enlarged and cropped symbols create stronger graphic compositions.

  • Keep messages short and typography clear.

Balance human imagery with precise form

Electric violet is the identity’s main colour, supported by deep black and white. The palette allows a shift from atmospheric digital imagery to crisp printed applications without changing the brand’s character.

The reaching hands bring a human dimension to the geometric system. Violet light outlines their forms against a dark background, while the white symbol occupies the space between them. The image expresses the same idea as the mark: separate parts moving towards a shared connection.

On stationery, the identity becomes more restrained. Black and white surfaces carry the wordmark, practical information and the “Better, together.” message. Violet appears as a deliberate accent, while the enlarged symbol connects the individual pieces into a coherent family.

The layouts balance bold graphic areas with generous space. This gives the brand room to feel expressive on a cover and composed on a document, card or everyday piece of communication.

Give the brand a consistent foundation

Independent minds. Shared possibilities.

The identity concept includes the wordmark, symbol, colour palette, typographic direction, key visual and stationery applications. A shared set of placement and scaling rules connects the system across screen and print.

The outcome is a brand with a clear central idea and several ways to express it. The symbol provides recognition, the imagery adds emotion, and the typography keeps each message direct. Together, these elements give Syna a consistent voice as its communications grow.
